Episode 6 is the sixth episode of the first season of All of Us Are Dead.
Synopsis[]
The group clears a path to Cheong-san using sound to draw away zombies, but a new type of threat surfaces. Nam So-ju breaks out of the quarantine camp.
Plot[]
The episode opens with clips from Lee Byeong-chan's research notes, where he explains that he named the Jonas Virus after the philosopher Hans Jonas, and that he believes that he has a moral responsibility to create an antidote to the virus.
In the present day, Kim Cheol-soo sets up an SOS sign on the roof, Min Eun-ji examines her new halfbie body, and Jang Ha-ri and her group fight their way to the archery training center. Yoon Gwi-nam collects his knife from the corridor where he threw it at Cheong-san, who is now trapped in the music classroom with a zombie pinned under the piano and - unbeknownst to him - Lee Na-yeon hiding in the storage cupboard.
Kim Ji-min tries to jump from the broadcasting room window in despair after seeing her parents as zombies. The other students pull her back, and Nam On-jo talks to her in the recording studio, telling her not to lose hope. Ji-min rests her head on the table and says they have no way to leave, and nowhere to go even if they did. This triggers the recording room microphone, and Choi Nam-ra gets the idea to use it to escape. Since the zombies are attracted to noise, they can lure them towards one side of the school by only using the speakers at that end, and at the same time they can send Cheong-san a message to let him know they're heading for the roof using the stairs on the other side of the school. From the roof, they might be seen by a helicopter and rescued.
The students test the school radio by sending a message to Cheong-san, telling him to stay where he is and wait for them. The zombies react violently to the noise, and the halfbies seem to find the initial static debilitatingly painful. Nam-ra adjusts the sound settings to only play on the left hand side of the school and the students try to make their escape, but run into a zombie right outside the classroom who seems to be unaffected by the sound. The zombie chases them and Su-hyeok fights it off, but is almost overpowered until Gwi-nam appears and stabs it in the neck.
Gwi-nam tells him he's looking for Cheong-san so that he can kill him. Su-hyeok refuses to give up his location, so Gwi-nam attacks him. Nam-ra tries to intervene but Gwi-nam bites her on the arm. When he tries to attack her again, Su-hyeok charges at him and throws him out of a window.
At ground level, Ha-ri's group reach the gym, but Yoo Jun-seong is badly injured after a zombie manages to puncture his stomach with his own weapon. The Hyosan School Group reaches the music room, reuniting with Su-hyeok, Nam-ra, and Cheong-san. On-jo kicks Cheong-san in the leg for making her worry and the group tries to leave for the roof, but are swarmed by zombies before they can get out of the classroom. Seo Hyo-ryung notices the bite mark on Nam-ra's arm and draws the group's attention to her.
Conditions are already beginning to deteriorate at the quarantine camp, with long queues for food and survivors picking fights over toilet access. Nam So-ju, Park Eun-hee and their group are brought their food for the day, and are told that it is not yet known how long the survivors will be kept at the quarantine camp; it could be over a month. So-ju knocks the guards who brought their food unconscious, dresses in their uniform, and leaves the cell with Kim U-sin.
In the music classroom, Su-hyeok defends Nam-ra, saying that she was bitten by Gwi-nam, who he didn't think was a zombie. Cheong-san says that he witnessed Gwi-nam being bitten and tries to attack Nam-ra, who says nothing in her own defense and even tries to tell Su-hyeok to leave her. Su-hyeok refuses and stands by a window with Nam-ra, saying that if she turns, he'll throw her out the window before she can attack anyone. Nam-ra begins to show symptoms of the virus and has an urge to bite Su-hyeok, but regains control of herself. On-jo suggests that Gwi-nam and Nam-ra may be immune to the zombie virus, or asymptomatic. Some of the other students are unconvinced, and Nam-ra tries to leave the classroom, but On-jo persuades her to stay and Su-hyeok ties himself to her as a sign of trust.
At the chicken shop, Song Jae-ik zips the baby into his jacket before trying to escape with Jeon Ho-chul, who protests that the baby will slow them down and draw more zombies to them. As they get on an abandoned motorbike, they hear a young girl named Se-bin calling for help as a horde chases her. Jae-ik grabs Se-bin and carries her back inside as Ho-chul shuts the doors behind them. Se-bin tells Jae-ik her mother is outside, and points to one of the zombies clawing at the shop window. Jae-ik hugs her and tells a panicking Ho-chul to stay still for a minute.
So-ju and U-sin make it to the quarantine camp's outer wall, where So-ju leaves U-sin behind and tells him to stay alive while he goes to find his daughter. A guard catches So-ju, but he fights past him and runs towards a nearby river despite heavy gunfire from the rest of the guards.
The Hyosan School Group find the music room camera and use it to record messages for their parents, though Yang Dae-su instead sings a song about food. On-jo uses hers to tell her father that she loves him and hopes he's okay, but she wishes he'd come to rescue her. As she records the message, So-ju dives into the river and swims away from the camp, but is caught by one of the bullets.

- A filming mistake can be seen in the scene of the deaf zombie, a blood tube (used to pump fake blood onto an actor) can be seen sticking out of the zombies clothes. (19:27)

- In the webtoon, rather than using the camera to record messages, the group set the camera outside the broadcasting room as a makeshift surveillance camera to monitor the hallway for zombies.
