Jung Min-jae (Korean: 정민재) was a supporting character in the Netflix show, All of Us Are Dead. He was portrayed by Jin Ho-eun. In the English dub, he is voiced by Ivan Mok.
History[]
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Not much was known about Min-jae's past except that he was part of the archery team with Jang Ha-ri.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Min-jae was first seen on the archers bus heading back to Hyosan High School and accompanied Ha-ri into the school where they found and rescued Park Mi-jin and Yoo Jun-seong; they then spent some time in the bathroom looking at and discussing the situation.
Then he helps Ha-ri to see the outside and restrains her to prevent an argument with Mi-jin. They decide to leave the bathroom and end up in the infirmary. There, they tried to post something on Facebook, but it didn't work, realizing internet services must have been cut. So the group resorted to jumping out the window and going to the archery center to try to call 119 on an emergency phone there and also to get more arrows.
On the way, Jun-seong ends up injured due to being impaled by a broken stick and Min-jae along with Mi-jin treat his wounds. Then, they built a gurney to get him out, but the first time it broke and almost put everyone at risk. So they retreat back to the archery center.
Later they do it again, but had to hide in a dumpster from the zombies before Mi-Jin figured out that the thunder distracted the zombies and used the opportunity to escape from the school. On the way, they meet Ha-ri's brother, Jang Wu-jin and the rest of his friends and they go to the auditorium, but it was full of zombies, forcing the others to lock themselves in a closet. Jun-seong sacrificed himself to give the others time to hide in a storage room.
Min-jae was separated due to the horde of zombies in the gymnasium. The rest of the survivor group rushed into the storage room of the gymnasium while he was "pushed" back to the entrance of the building due to the darkness and chaos caused when the survivors unexpectedly encountered a horde of infected inside the building. Having nowhere else to go, he ran outside and killed a few zombies before running back to the archery center to restock on arrows. He was found by Yoon Gwi-nam when the halfbie stumbled inside the archery center. He locks the door where Gwi-nam came in, then questions him about the situation outside. Gwi-nam replies with: "It's heaven. It's like heaven out there". Noticing Gwi-nam trying to go back out there again, he swears at him, telling he would get killed. Seeming to be mad at Ming-jae, Gwi-nam inspects him closely and bites him on the shoulder. Gwi-nam gives him one more chance to run. Min-jae, who senses that Gwi-nam is a threat, tries to kill him by stabbing an arrow into his neck. Having the virus take over Min-jae from the bite, he uses his last moments and tries to launch one more arrow at Gwi-nam, but misses. After launching the arrow, Min-jae struggles to hang onto his consciousness but ultimately succumbs to the virus and transforms off-screen. With that, Gwi-nam leaves him.
Just like Lee Na-yeon he appears as a zombie on the field and is seen among the crowd of zombies before they get blown up by the bombing.
Physical Appearance[]
Min-jae was tall and lean, with dark brown hair in a bowl cut. He wore the Hyosan High School archery team uniform. As a zombie, he has blood streaming from his nostrils, yellow boils all over the right side of his face, and his uniform has a hole in the right shoulder.
Personality[]
Min-jae was very calm and collected. Even in the apocalypse, he maintained a good posture and had great concentration. He was very quick as shown when he ran away from Mi-jin and from zombies. He seemed to support his friends a lot as he supported Ha-ri when Mi-jin made fun of her and seemed to be very careful seeing everything she has done for Jun-seong.

- In the webtoon, Min-jae takes over Wu-jin's role as Ha-ri's brother. His death by Gwi-nam was different as he was shot by Gwi-nam with a revolver he took from another pair of survivors (whom Gwi-nam killed by cutting of the rope leading to the classroom he hid, leaving them to the zombies) and later ended up being bitten by zombies in an attempt to cover Ha-ri's retreat from a classroom to the rooftop.
- Though he was severely wounded, Min-jae was able to help Mi-jin and Ha-ri against Gwi-nam before the three fled through the schools hallway where they encountered a infected Mr. Kang, whom Ha-ri hesitates to shoot with her bow and arrow, leading Min-jae to restrain the zombie in a attempt to give the girls more time to flee.
- Despite having had a large role in the survival of Ha-ri's group, when Ha-ri and Mi-jin are hiding in the gym storage, neither of them seem to acknowledge his disappearance throughout the remainder of Season 1, similar to how the main group don't acknowledge Kim Ji-min's disappearance.
- Min-jae is one of six victims to be killed by Gwi-nam. Others being The Principal, Jang Do-min, Son Myeong-hwan, Lee Na-yeon and Shin Hyung-seo.
