Kang Jin-gu (Korean: 강진구) was a minor antagonist in Netflix's All of Us Are Dead. He is portrayed by Yoon Byung-hee.
History[]
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Not much was known about Jin-gu's life except that he was a coach employed at Hyosan High School.
The night before the apocalypse, he was walking around the dark hallways, missing the kidnapped Kim Hyeon-ju. On the day of the apocalypse, he was punishing students for being late along with Jung Yong-nam, among which was Nam On-jo. When Byeong-chan was caught for keeping Hyeon-ju locked up, he and Sun-hwa had Byeong-chan questioned by the principal for doing what he did.
Post-Apocalypse[]
When the apocalypse started, Jin-gu got bitten on the wrist and hid in Class 2-5 with the Hyosan School Group. Jin-gu orders all the students to block off the wall with desks and chairs, which they do. Yoon I-sak then notices the bite mark on Jin-gu and calls him out on it, with him angrily denying it and hiding the mark. Nam On-jo then hits Jin-gu with her bag. He goes to assault her, but collapses to the floor and transforms into a zombie, attacking the students and biting Kim Min-ji. The rest of the students end up fleeing the room, leaving the zombified Jin-gu and Min-ji. He is never seen again but it's likely he died in the bombing in Episode 11.
Legacy[]
He was later mentioned when Lee Na-yeon told Sun-hwa that Han Gyeong-su had let him in, almost resulting in their deaths and Min-ji's death.
Physical Appearance[]
Jin-gu had dark brown hair and wore a red rugby shirt, a white undershirt, black slacks, and red and white running shoes. As a zombie, he has blood streaming from his nostrils and covering his mouth, and his eyes are slightly bloodshot.
Personality[]
Jin-gu is shown to be cowardly and selfish like most of the other teachers in Hyosan high school, due to how he refused to leave the room despite being infected, and attempted to hide and deny the bite mark. He is also shown to be violent since he attempted to slap On-jo after she demanded for him to leave.

- In the original webtoon, Mr. Kang was with Jang Ha-ri, Jung Min-jae and Park Mi-jin.
- His webtoon counterpart also became a zombie, but he was infected when he tried to distract zombies to give Ha-ri's group more time to escape.
- Ha-ri and Min-jae were his niece and nephew in the webtoon.
- In the Webtoon, apart from lasting longer than his Series counterpart, Mr. Kang was less selfish than his Netflix counterpart as he was seen showing concern for Ha-ri, Min-jae and Mi-jin's safety, even to the point of sacrificing himself to save them.
- Despite last being seen in class 2-5 when Ha-ri enters the classroom, he and Min-ji are missing, and were replaced by a pack of new zombies.
