Kim Cheol-soo (Korean: 김철수) is a supporting character and minor antagonist of Netflix's All of Us Are Dead. He is portrayed by Ahn Ji-ho. In the English Dub, he is voiced by Paul Syre.
History[]
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Like fellow students Lee Jin-su and Min Eun-ji, Cheol-soo was bullied by a gang of bullies led by Son Myeong-hwan. The morning before apocalypse, it appears that after Jin-su went missing, he reported Gwi-nam and his gang for a case related to Jin-su. He also came forward as a victim at the School Violence Committee along with Jin-su and Eun-ji. As a result, Gwi-nam's gang forced Cheol-soo to film a video of Min Eun-ji topless and threatened to distribute the video on the Internet if he did not bring the money by 9 o'clock the next day. Cheol-soo and Eun-ji attempted to leave and go back to school with Lee Su-hyeok, however Eun-ji tells him it would be worse by tomorrow, which Cheol-soo stays aswell.
Post-Apocalypse[]
When the zombie outbreak broke out, he survived along with Eun-ji, who was trying to stop her from committing suicide. Cheol-soo and Eun-ji observe one student after another getting infected from the rooftop. In the next morning, when Min Eun-ji starts arguing about spreading her video, she goes down to her staff room to take care of things and when she is left alone.
Later on, he sees a military helicopter coming. At that moment, after going through a lot of trouble, a group of students from class 5 of the second year came to the rooftop door and knocked on the locked door, they try to open the door and Cheol-soo hesitates to unlock it but eventually doesn't. He is rescued by the military and tells them that there are no other survivors but him, causing the helicopter to leave without the others.
Presumed Death[]
At the quarantine camp, he reunites with Eun-ji and offers her his food after she stated that she was hungry. But Eun-ji says she wants to eat something else and when Cheol-soo asks what, she replies that she wants to eat him. Later, it was shown that Eun-ji tore a chunk out of Cheol-soo's throat before being detained by the military for study. 10 minutes after the infection he isn't seen as a zombie: He was most likely executed by military or lost consciousness by the loss of blood. In the case of the second, he would have been sent for experiments to check whether he'd reanimate or also become a Halfbie.
Physical Appearance[]
Cheol-soo had short black hair covering his forehead, and dark brown eyes. He wore the standard Hyosan High School male uniform as well as black Adidas sneakers with white stripes. In a flashback in Episode 4, his hair looked shorter during the scholl violence resolution committee.

Due to constant bullying, Cheol-soo was shy, quiet, and insecure. He hated being bullied and doing what the bullies force him to do but was too scared to stand up for himself and Eun-ji. He also had a cowardly side that came out during the outbreak, first shown when he refused to follow Eun-ji around the now zombie-filled high school. He was even more so when he refused to open the door for the other survivors and left with the army, even telling them he was the only student who lived. Although well-meaning, he only showed it at the last moment when he showed support to Eun-ji after her harassment and in the camp when they were finally safe.

Later, after the bite, when the military detained the girl, he was still unconscious, and the military was carrying a stretcher. There are two ways this could have happened: either the military could have finished him off so that he would not be resuscitated, or he lost consciousness from blood loss, and the military decided not to finish him off in order to check who he was resuscitating. If he wasn't shot by special forces, then he still has a chance that he survived the bite and reanimates as a Hamby, although this is unlikely
