“ | Falling from the third floor won’t hurt as much as failing to get into college. | ” |
–Mi-jin |
Park Mi-jin (Korean: 박미진) is a major character in the Netflix show, All of Us Are Dead. She is portrayed by Lee Eun-saem, she is voiced in the English dub by Jenny Yokobori, and voiced by Karen Vallejo in the Spanish dub.
History[]
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Not much is known of Mi-jin's life before the outbreak, other than that she smoked, struggled with her grades and may not have had any friends.
Post-Apocalypse[]
During the outbreak Mi-jin hid in the bathroom along with Yoo Jun-seong and Lee Ha-lim. After realizing Ha-lim was displaying symptoms of being infected, she locked her in a stall refusing to let her out. After attempting (unsuccessfully) to kill the fully zombified girl, she and Jun-seong were saved by Jung Min-Jae and Jang Ha-ri.
Later the group made their way towards the nurse's office in hopes of finding a working computer to see the status of the outside world; after Hyosan's internet service was cut of due to false rumors spreading across Korea, the group made their way towards the archery center in hopes of using a emergency phone (which also did not work) to call for help.
When the group arrived Jun-seong got injured, at first Mi-jin didn't take it seriously but then after seeing the wound, she immediately called for a first aid kit to treat his injury. During their stay at the archery center, Ha-ri taught her a bit of archery. The group made a unsuccessful attempt to leave the archery center, and later made another (more successful) attempt during the storm, where they encountered the main group of survivors, and ran into the gym to avoid the outdoor zombies. Unknown to them, the gym was also filled with zombies. After Choi Nam-ra alerts the group about the danger, the zombies in the gym lunge towards them, Jun-seong sacrifices himself in order for the group to hide while telling Mi-jin to hide despite her pleas to try and save him while Min-jae ran back outside in a panic and got locked out.
While the group was come up with the plan of using equipment to make a mobile barricade to avoid the zombies, Mi-jin got in a argument with Oh Joon-yeong where she wanted to leave the cage lids open so the barricade could have its top covered like a box and give zombies a harder time trying to enter it, while Joon-yeong proposed a different idea, which got the majority vote. After the group went with Joon-yeong's idea, Mi-jin was nearly bitten by a zombie but he saved her (while unfortunately getting bit in the process). During his sacrifice, Mi-jin was holding his hand in condolence. After making it out, she went along with the group and was able to reach the military checkpoint along with the group. Months after the outbreak she is seen wearing a cardboard sign demanding special admission into college for her and the other surviving high school seniors. She accompanies On-jo and the others back to the school and reunites with Nam-ra.
Physical Appearance[]
Mi-jin has short dark brown hair. She wears the standard Hyosan High School female uniform, but with plain dark green pants instead of the skirt, a dark green sweater vest instead of the cardigan, and without the bow, as well as black sneakers.
After reaching the archery center, she wears an archery team jacket.
In the Quarantine Camp, she has some of her hair tied into a bun on top of her head and wears a knee-length dark blue Adidas jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, a grey turtleneck sweater, black jeans, and black and white sneakers. She is briefly seen wearing a piece of cardboard as a bodysuit with black and red text that translates to "ZOMBIE VICTIM SPECIAL ADMISSION HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS WHO SUFFERED THE ZOMBIE ATTACK MUST BE GIVEN SPECIAL ADMISSIONS INTO COLLEGES" on both side of it and a red and dark blue vest.
Personality[]
Despite her initial harsh and cold personality, Mi-jin is shown to care for her fellow survivors, as seen when she tried to save Jun-seong, even after he threw himself to buy the group more time to hide. Likewise, she was distraught when Joon-yeong sacrificed himself after being bit helping her. She's obsessed with getting into a good college, even after the outbreak, and talks about it frequently regardless of circumstances.

- It’s implied that Mi-jin is attracted to Ha-ri, referring to her as “her type”.
- Mi-jin is one of fifth characters confirmed to be smokers. The others are Kim Hyeon-ju, Son Myeong-hwan, Choi Nam-ra and NIS Agent.
