Son Myeong-hwan (Korean: 손명환) is a supporting antagonist in Netflix's All of Us Are Dead. He is the leader of the bullies. He is portrayed by Oh Hee-joon. In the English dub, he is voiced by Jonathan Tanigaki.
History[]
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Myeong-hwan was the leader of a group of notorious bullies who targeted Lee Jin-su (Lee Byeong-chan's son), Min Eun-ji and Kim Cheol-soo, and may have bullied others. Their violence was often extreme, including putting Jin-su in a washing machine and filming Eun-ji naked to extort Cheol-soo for money. Lee Su-hyeok, a former member of the group, interrupted the filming and tried to get Eun-ji and Cheol-soo to leave, which caused Myeong-hwan to smack Gwi-nam for listening to him, and reminded Su-hyeok of who he was when he hung out with them. However, Gwi-nam threatened to post the video of Eun-ji online, so she and Cheol-soo chose to stay so that Eun-ji's mother wouldn't see the video.
Post-Apocalypse[]
At the start of the apocalypse, Myeong-hwan and Park Chang-hoon found the school nurse after her infection. They started to film her, believing her to be drunk, until she noticed them and attacked Chang-hoon. He quickly pulls the nurse away. However, the zombified nurse has already bitten Chang-hoon and chases him down the hallway, eventually losing him and spreading the virus throughout the school along with Chang-hoon. At some point, Myeong-hwan managed to escape the building and hid under a truck outside the school.
In a flashback, Myeong-hwan is showing that he is not worried even though he is in the middle of a school violence, and drags Jin-su to the laundromat and puts him in the washing machine and takes a few pictures.
The next day, Gwi-nam found Myeong-hwan. Myeong-hwan tried to force him to run to a car and attract the zombies but Gwi-nam refused, to which he hit him. Gwi-nam pulled him out from under the truck. When Yoon Gwi-nam asked him to 'please save me', he desperately begged for help, but Gwi-nam, who had no intention of saving Myeong-hwan in the first place, ended up breaking his arm, causing a bone to pop out of his arm and Myeong-hwan to scream loudly enough to attract nearby zombies and turning him into a zombie meal. His fate is unknown as he was never seen as a zombie.
Physical Appearance[]
Myeong-hwan had short slightly spiky brown hair. He wore the standard Hyosan High School male uniform but without the tie, his sleeves slightly rolled up and with plain dark green pants instead of the trousers. He was wearing white and black rubber boots during the whole show. He wore light grey rubber shoes while bullying Jin-su on a rooftop in Episode 1. In a flashback in Episode 4, he was seen wearing a light red Adidas rain jacket with white stripes on the sleeves when he and Gwi-nam were bullying Jin-su in a laundromat.
Personality[]
Myeong-hwan was cruel, selfish, manipulative, and heartless. He was also physically abusive since when Gwi-nam questioned him, he hit him. He even pretend to be remorseful towards Min Eun-ji, Lee Jin-su, and Kim Cheol-soo in a flashback in the fourth episode alongside Gwi-nam and Chang-hoon during the school violence committee.

- It's theorized that Myeong-hwan barely survived before hiding under the truck.
- In Episode 10, After the group survivors managed to escape safely out of the school, the exact same spot where Myeong-hwan was last seen, his body nor organs or bones leftovers wasn't cleary shown instead was completely empty.
- His name is never mentioned during the series and is only seen on his nametag.
- Myeong-hwan is one of five characters confirmed to be a smoker. The others are Kim Hyeon-ju, Choi Nam-ra, Park Mi-jin and NIS Agent.
- Myeong-hwan is one of the sixth victims to be killed by Gwi-nam. Others being The Principal, Jang Do-min, Shin Hyung-seo, Lee Na-yeon and Jung Min-jae.

- Despite having a supporting role, in the staff role in Episode 7, he also appears to be the radio voice of the beta team of the shopping mall special lease team and the radio voice of the helicopter pilot, only in Korean dubbed.
- The actor was born in 1988, making him the oldest among the named high school students who appear in the series.
- Both Oh Hee-joon and Yoo In-soo starred in another Korean TV series called My ID is Gangnam Beauty as the antagonists.
